On Aug 20th and 21st, Stephen Harper is meeting with US President, George Bush and Mexican President, Felipe Calderon to discuss the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP).

The SPP will involve lowering Canadian labour, safety and environmental standards in order to make it easier for U.S. and Mexican companies to do business here. It will also involve integrating police forces.

Following the Nation Day of Action against the SPP, the Canadian Labour Congress, Saskatchewan Federation of Labour and Regina District Labour Council, together with the Palliser and Wascana Federal NDP Ridings, have invited NDP MP and Critic for International Trade, Peter Julian to speak at this public forum to discuss the so-called SPP, the deep integration of North America.
